I am an Irish Passport holder born outside Ireland

If you hold an Irish passport and were born to an Irish born parent you should provide a scanned copy of your Irish born parent’s birth certificate. If one of your grandparents were born in Ireland and your birth details have been entered in the Foreign Births Register (FBR), you would have provided documentation in relation to your grandparent. This document can be submitted with your application for a Certificate of Irish Heritage.

If you are entitled to, but have not claimed an Irish Passport, follow the links in the Find Your Document section of our website for help in finding a supporting document which links your Ancestor to Ireland.
